Cost of Laser Skin Resurfacing
Cost of laser skin resurfacing will vary slightly depending upon location and area of treatment. When inquiring about treatment, the cost of laser skin resurfacing at different practices should be investigated as well, to determine what
fees are included.
Typically, the cost of laser skin resurfacing is comprised of the surgeon’s fee, the facility cost, anesthesia, and pre- and post-operative care. Cost of laser skin resurfacing generally includes any necessary ointments, dressings and
creams, although not included in the cost of laser skin resurfacing are antibiotic medications and other prescription pills such as pain medicine or sleeping pills. Also, cost of laser skin resurfacing usually does not cover the
camouflage makeup that some practices offer for use after surgery. Cost of laser skin resurfacing issues should be discussed early in the process, ensuring that prospective patients understand the true cost of laser skin resurfacing.
Because skin resurfacing is a cosmetic procedure, most insurance packages will not pay the cost of laser skin resurfacing. Patients can inquire about financing through the clinic, or can find means to meet the cost of laser skin
resurfacing independently of the practice at which they receive treatment. Most practices require that patients pay the cost of laser skin resurfacing, at least in part, prior to receiving treatment.
More information about the cost of laser skin resurfacing can be obtained from plastic surgeons. Because factors in the cost of laser skin resurfacing can vary depending upon the
location of the practice, questions about the potential cost of laser skin resurfacing should be addressed to the practice the patient intends to use.
